Got a new role?
I've got you.
Whether you're new to teaching, you've picked up a new leadership role, or you're tackling something ground-breaking that's going to change the WORLD, there are some common mistakes that can happen:
we underestimate how intense the role is
we try and do too much, too fast
we set unrealistic goals
With my 3 month kick-starter program, I've got a plan to make sure you avoid these common mistakes. I'll also help you to set yourself up with the attitudes and routines that will make sure you don't just start this new career step well, you keep it going for years to come.

6X Fortnightly Coaching Conversations

Month 1
Getting this show on the road:
The better you know yourself, the better you'll perform. During our first coaching conversation we'll do an initial assessment to get clear on your strengths so we can make the most of them in your new role. We'll also look at the areas that you're not so strong in, and make some plans to ensure that these things don't hold you back.
Setting great goals:
If someone asking you to set a SMART goal makes you roll your eyes- you've found the right person to work with! We're throwing the tired old goal-setting rules out the window because the right way to set goals that you'll actually achieve, depends on how you work best, what motivates you and what your appetite for risk is like. We'll explore all of this and make sure you've got solid short and long term goals, plus a plan in place to make sure you achieve them.

Month 2
Skills development on steroids:
If time-management and decision making aren't up there with the biggest issues you're facing in your new role by month 2, I'll eat my hat.
I've been training people to become more efficient, effective and happy at work for years, and I've got all sorts of tricks up my sleeve to help you do the same.
Becoming problem-proof:
I like 'problem-proof' as a saying. Think; if something is waterproof it doesn't stop it from getting wet, it just means that water won't destroy it. And you're going to come up against problems, but with the right foundation, they won't knock you around too much.
I'll help you to anticipate and address potential challenges, manage stress and navigate change. This session is a conversation that everyone should have at least once in their lives!

Month 3
Life long learning:
Simply because you're reading this right now, I already know that you and I are on the same page with this one: learning new things is awesome! In this coaching session we'll dig out important frameworks that will provide a scaffold for your professional learning for years to come. If you're a teacher, we'll create a plan around the Professional Standards, and if you're a leader, we'll use the Leadership Capabilities Framework.
Hot-spots & passion projects:
During our final coaching conversation we'll look into a challenge you're facing, explore an idea you've been playing around with or even go real big picture and start making a plan for your next promotion. This session is your chance to squeeze every last bit of value out of this coaching program and make sure we finish with no stone unturned.
